Now the Bride and Groom will cut the cupcake

I went to an unusual wedding Yesterday. The bride wore beige, even though this was her first marriage ( mistake #1). Nothing is more beautiful than a bride in white. Who cares that she's not pure...............This was an outdoor wedding, at a park, with a playground. Knowing the bride, you would not expect this, but expect it. The ceremony was short, and could barely be heard by anyone, and there were no chairs, we just stood in the grass, dirt, and watched out for potholes. ( mistake number 2). There were a few appetizers under the pavillion, some chilled wine. There was beer in a huge cooler, and water in another. In a large cooler, one you'd use for baseball players....there was ice tea in one, lemonade in the other. Then, the main course arrived. ( mistake number 3) hot dogs, and hamburgers that were too well done. There was potato salad and collard greens ( yummy). They had disposable camera's on each table, and I tried to get a picture of the bride and groom together........ ( mistake number 4)....This couple had known each other for 10 years, been engaged for 8, but dammit...why wouldn't they get together and pose for pictures? She is 36, he is 42. This is his 3rd marriage, her first. Yes, the thrill is gone.but ppl this is YOUR WEDDING. My husband came up with an idea, he dedicated the song, " When a man loves a woman" to the bride and groom. The announcer announced the dedication, but still, those two kept their distance. In my opinion, this is not a marriage of love. I wasted a soccer game for my 6 yr old, a card that costed 2.99, and 150 dollars cash on this loveless couple. ( mistake number 5, and may I add, the most tragic) when the bride and groom were expected to cut their cake, It turned out to be CUPCAKES. with orange icing and a brown flower. ! My husband muttered, " Oh, Halloween cupcakes"! lol..........
Oh well....i'm sure there's a romantic wedding out there somewhere! blog ya later!
